It is to Jacques Duval, the founder and manager of the website www.art-culture-france.com, that we owe the initiative of opening this remarkable art gallery (100m²). Situated right in the heart of the town, the gallery is ideal for promoting artists of Normandy. It is even an encouraging sign for the profession as a whole.

Founded a few years ago, the website www.art-culture-france.com is now by no means an insignificant reference in the artistic life of Normandy. Every site designed by Jacques Duval, the manager, and the technical team supporting him, highlights through text and image the personal approach of the painters and sculptors who have joined him in his project. Today, they also have at their disposal a video-graphical tool, the aim of which is to present the artists in their daily environment. The interviews take place for the most part in the artists' studios.

When Jacques Duval was developing this concept, he benefited from the support of our mutual friend André Ruellan, who contributed greatly to the innovating way in which the works of art are presented. A diary of the different exhibitions currently running completes the information sought after by website users. Attracting a significant number of visitors, the website www.art-culture-france.com has become a providential showcase for artists.

For over a year now, Jacques Duval and his friends have dedicated a great deal of time and energy in creating this gallery, the birth of which, it must be said, is the crowning achievement of their dreams and effort. The painters who have put their trust in them now have available to them a prestigious showcase where they can meet peers and show their work in accordance with current events. Even before the 100m² gallery opened to the public, contacts had been made for the coming two years. This means that this new location, which is admirably equipped and lighted, should also attract increasing interest from the public. From the comments made by the first guests at the inauguration, Jacques Duval has every reason to trust his lucky star. Even if the difficulties in connexion with the economic crisis may incite only prudent optimism, it should not be long before this place of quality becomes the object of many art-lovers' desires.
